Welcome to our Community Classes information and schedule (for the bodywork professional, also visit our Continuing Education Classes). At Tucson Touch Therapies Education Center, we've designed our Community Classes especially for those of you who are members of the public wishing to increase body/mind awareness. Our classes will provide you with both variety and quality to foster your growth.

Look over our current schedule of Community Classes for Summer 2008. Explore how our Community Classes can fulfill your body/mind/spirit awareness needs and wishes. Our Community Classes are available to anyone in the community. You need not be a massage therapist or other kind of health professional to take them. Our Community Classes have no prerequisites other than you being 18 years or older with an interest in the subject matter. New to T3!! Yamuna Bodyrolling classes

Yamuna Body Rolling™

Yamuna Body Rolling™ is an innovative approach to fitness and self-care. It consists of a series of routines using 6 to 10-inch balls designed exclusively for this practice. Unlike other ball exercises, YBR goes far beyond random movement and stretch. The YBR routines follow specific sequences that match the body’s own logic and order. They allow you to work specific muscles in detail to create suppleness in tight areas and optimize range of motion.

Health – Fitness – Massage rolled into one! YBR works the way a hands-on practitioner works only using a ball. The ball replaces hands as it works to lengthen muscle, limber up stiff connective tissue, and stimulate bone thus increasing blood flow and promoting healing. The classes are designed to teach you to use the system at home, or when you travel, so you can prolong the effects of your massage or alignment treatments in between appointments.

  Upper body class: Focus is on the spine, neck, and shoulders. These routines will help you keep your neck and spine strong and supple, strengthen your core muscles, improve posture and alignment, and increase range of motion in the shoulder joints.
Lower body class: Focus is on the abdomen, hips, thighs, and lower legs. This class is great for anyone who sits, stands, or walks around! Regularly limbering up those glutes, quads, hamstrings and calves will greatly enhance athletic performance and help keep the pelvis balanced and aligned.
Foot Fitness class: The muscles in most people’s feet are tight and contracted which greatly restricts movement in the feet. Did you know that every part of the foot should be able to move separately? Having strong, supple feet greatly reduces pain not only in the feet but in other areas of the body.

Format: Each date below has three classes scheduled: an upper body class, a lower body class, and a foot fitness class. Participants may select any single class, come for the entire program, or take any class as often as desired.

  • Price is for each 1-hour class.
  • You must register for each class as enrollment is limited. Call: 907-7542
  • For upper and lower body classes: wear close-fitting, stretchy clothing (leotard, knit wear, yoga pants, exercise wear) and bring a yoga mat, blanket, or large beach towel.
  • For the Foot Fitness class: bring a pair of clean socks.
Each 1-hour class is $15.00. Or you may purchase a package of 10 classes for $120.00.
