Licensed Massage Therapist, MT-00889. Certified Thai Massage Practitioner. Allyn has been in practice since 1998.

 

Specializes in: Integrated Massage Therapy including Hot Stone Therapy, Thai Massage,and Asian Foot Reflexology.

 

Education: 1000 hour certification in massage therapy from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona in 1998. In her career as a bodyworker she has taken over 250 hours in continuing education classes including 100 hour certification in Thai massage from the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, Arizona in 2003. Allyn is also currently working on 200 hour certification in reflexology.

 

Motivation to Become a Bodyworker: I had always been the one to massage the backs of family and friends when they were in need. I can remember being as young as 10 years old when my mother told me that I should become a massage therapist. After attending the U of A for one year (and wondering to myself, “What am I doing?!”) I was introduced to the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts and never looked back.

 

Personal Bodywork/Energy Therapy Statement: I am passionate about the wisdom of the human body and its capacity to heal itself with the help of massage therapy and energy work.
