Education: 1200 hour certification in massage therapy and zen shiatsu from the Providence Institute in Tucson, AZ in 2004. Strong emphasis in anatomy, physiology, Asian Medical Theory. Introductory level training in Chi Nei Tsang, hydrotherapy and deep tissue sports massage. Since graduating from Providence Institute, Dana has taken over 300 hours of continuing education classes including Cranial Sacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy and Orthopedic Massage. Dana received her Bowenwork training and certification through the original Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia.
Motivation to Become a Bodyworker: I have the desire to be of service and to help others. I also have a strong passion for the body, mind and spirit connection. Over the years I have felt honored in assisting people on their healing journey and in helping them to feel better.
Personal Bodywork/Energy Therapy Statement: My intention as a body worker is to create a safe and sacred space for my clients to connect with their bodies and spirits and feel empowered to take control of their health.
